We specialise in providing creative translations for marketing purposes.

It takes a special kind of translator to produce a really professional text which reads like original copy and not just another translation.

Lipstick will take care of the translation of all your documents:

    • marketing
    • public relations
    • advertising
    • publications
    • manufacturing procedures
    • cosmetic technology

We make a commitment towards our clients to deliver a professional product and excellent personal service.

We will meet or exceed even the most challenging deadlines and we always aim at providing you with more than you expected.

Our reputation is built around what we do for you.

    How does it all work?

We take an individual approach to each translation project. Prices are based on the following factors:

    • source and target language
    • number of words
    • deadline: standard or express
    • other special requirements

This is how we usually work:

    • you submit a request for a translation or interpreting project
    • we provide you with a quote
    • a translator is assigned to the project
    • the final translation is fully proofread to make sure it is consistent, accurate and technically correct
    • you download the final translation or we email it to you in the required format

Some tips to make things go faster...

If you are working to a deadline, try to get the material to us as early as possible beforehand.  Not only does the translating itself take time, but so does checking and proof-reading.  This is especially important if you are going to publish your project.

Inform us immediately of any changes either in the work itself or in agreements made about the work.  Make sure the document you are sending is a final version and that you are happy with the correctness of the language.

Any amendment to a text and its subsequent translation involves extra administration work which may be charged for.  This can be compounded by the number of target languages in a multilingual project.

If possible, provide background information, such as product brochures or past translations.  This will help to keep material consistent and ensure the same specialised terminology is used.

Provide as much detail as possible of how you want the final translation.  This could include the type of layout, the font, colours etc.

The greatest cause of dispute over translations concerns style, because everyone has an individual approach.

Tell a story to a hundred people and ask them to write it down. You'll get a hundred completely different texts. You would probably make changes to all of them, however small. If this is true in your own language, it is more than true with a translation.

In our experience, problems are often overcome by using translators living locally. For example, your local office in France will feel more confident about a translation done in Paris than about one carried out in London.

The most important factor for our clients is invariably QUALITY, which we always strive to achieve.

While we pride ourselves on our rapid, customer-driven service, we never allow speed to put quality at risk. Our quality control is as rigorous as it gets, and you can be sure our standards will remain at the highest level.

We will be pleased to offer you a fully binding quotation on receipt of your document.
